Will the JetStream System work in my outdoor living space?
The IJ SeriesTM JetStream System is designed for a covered outdoor patio space that is open to fresh air on at least one side.

What structural conditions need to exist for the system to be installed?
Because the IJ SeriesTM JetStream System is a ducted outdoor climate control system, there needs to be adequate space to install the Central Airflow System (CAFS) and ductwork above the ceiling. Attic space is preferred, but the system can be installed with as little as 12" of clearance space above the ceiling. In retrofit/remodel situations, there needs to be some sort of access to the space to install the unit.

What kind of cooling effect should I expect to see?
The IJ Series JetStream System utilizes evaporative cooling technology that can produce an ambient temperature reduction of up to 20 degrees. Multiple variables can affect the amount of cooling achieved, but typical "feels like" temperature reductions are in the 10 to 15 degree range.

Will I experience excessive moisture in higher humidity environments?
The system is designed to achieve the maximum amount of evaporation in both dry and humid climates. Certain atmospheric conditions will reduce the evaporative effect and possibly cause an increase in moisture. The following conditions will affect how much evaporation is achievable:

Rain - Rain falling from the sky does the same thing that our system does. As rain falls from the sky, it evaporates, absorbing heat energy and cooling the air. This is the same heat energy that the JetStream System uses to cool the air, and with a lack of it, the evaporation effect will be diminished.

Time of day - In the morning and the late evening hours of the day, when dew is prevalent on the ground and other surfaces, the JetStream System will lose some of its evaporative effect because of the absence of heat energy, which is necessary for droplet evaporation.

What kind of maintenance does the system require?
The system requires minimal but regular maintenance to assure optimal performance.

Nozzles - The nozzles will need to be cleaned approximately every 100 hours of system use to prevent clogging from calcium and other minerals from collecting. This can be done by simply removing the "finger tight" nozzles and soaking them in a cleaning solvent such as CLR for a few hours. Rinse the nozzles after soaking and re-attach to the JetPort.

Pumping System - The pumping system should be serviced approximately every 1,000 hours of use or according to manufacturer's specification. Please refer to the pumping systems manufacturer's specifications for more detail on maintaining the system.
